SPECS Results in Nottingham
The Nottinghamshire Casualty Reduction Partnership has implemented 14 no. phases of SPECS control zones primarily in the City of Nottingham and it’s suburbs, but also to the north of the county on a rural ‘red route’.
The 14 phases comprise a total of 48 pairs of SPECS cameras, and enforce 30mph, 40mph and 50mph speed limits on both single and dual carriageway routes.
Phases (1+2) A6514 Ring Road and Phases (3+4) A610 Nuthall Road were launched between July 2000 and July 2002, and are therefore the only zones to have full 3-year comparative before/after data attributed to them.
