Protecting Road Users and Enforcing Traffic Law
With around 27 million vehicles on the UK's road network, traffic safety is of the utmost importance and a priority for every organisation and individual that works on or uses this network. Currently, around 10 people are killed in road collisions everyday, a figure which will decrease with the intelligent use of technology.
Speed Check Services has considerable experience in providing integrated solutions that improve traffic safety on the road network. The SPECS average speed enforcement system was the world's first digital average speed system to be enforceable and is still the UK's only fixed average speed camera.
SPECS is used in permanent installations with a number of Safety Camera Partnerships around the country, resulting in impressive reductions in fatalities, serious injuries and average speeds wherever it has been used.
SPECS is also used to support roadworks projects, ensuring the safety of contractors and the travelling public within temporary speed limits.
Our experience goes beyond just speed enforcement, with a number of bespoke solutions that have been integrated for highways authorities, consultants and local government. By combining the best-of-breed technologies and products, Speed Check Services is able to create a wide range of Traffic Safety solutions, including incident detection, no-overtaking enforcement and driver advice systems. |
